Happy New Year from ISHR Group

HR OptIn Opportunity Insider

January 2012

Happy New Year!

ISHR Team June 2011

Some people say that thirteen is an unlucky number! We disagree!

We will be celebrating our 13th year in business this fall.

It's satisfying to reflect back on the business we have built, the amazing clients we have come to call partners, the talented resources who have joined our team, and the opportunities to give back to our communities.

As always, thanks to all of our existing clients who continue to partner with us, and thanks to our new clients who joined us in 2011! We value each and every one of these relationships!

Our mission is "Developing leaders. Delivering talent." Let us know how our team can help you.

We hope that 2012 is a great year for you ... full of peace and prosperity. We have a lot of great things in the works, and we look forward to sharing these with you.

Warmly,
Monique

By the way, there are three months in 2012 that have a Friday the 13th! (January, April and July). May these days be particularly lucky for you!

ISHR Group Expertise

Insights into iAdvance

Our passion and core expertise lies in the area of leadership assessment, development and coaching. Over the years, these three areas have intersected tremendously and we no longer assess without coaching, nor coach without assessing, nor execute development programs without incorporating some sort of assessment and coaching.

We all assume that strong business leaders and great HR leaders are able to assess talent well. The reality, we know, can be very far from that assumption.

We believe in delivering a proven methodology for helping individuals to assess talent within their organizations -- for selection, and more commonly for development. By the end of 2011, we had facilitated and coached HR and business operating leaders from Detroit to Dubai, and from St. Petersburg (FL) to Surrey (UK), through our four-step leadership assessment process.

Not only to we teach an assessment process, but we also continue to serve as a third-party assessor for many of our clients. In 2011 we assessed over 200 individuals across the globe as several clients asked us to assess their entire senior leadership team, and leveraged ISHR Group to assess developing talent identified through the annual human resource review process. We believe in creating a forum for helping each individual to recognize his or her strengths and development needs. We leverage the power of the live 360 process, provide customized feedback focused on the nuances of each individual, and spend significant time on intensely personalized coaching.

Insights into Leadership ROI

Our Leadership ROI segment grew significantly in 2011.  Serving as a third part "Leadership U," ISHR Group provides in-depth, multi-dimensional leadership development programs customized to the needs of our customers ranging in length from 1 day to 5+ days.

The feedback we receive is what keeps us motivated! Our programs positively impact leadership both professionally and personally. We hear that our development programs are different than the others -- they are customized, unique, interactive, engaging and fun.

One recent participant shared this with us ... "Since you both were so instrumental in my 'Eliza Doolittle' transformation this week I thought I would share my thoughts with the both of you. My real message was to thank you both so very much. You will never know the anxiety that I felt on Monday and yet by the end of the week, I reflect back and so truly enjoyed the insight that you provided me. Again, thank you so much for your guidance. I truly believe that this may just be the start of the next wonderful chapter of my professional career & added value to my personal life. With utmost respect and thanks."

We would love to share more about our customized Leadership ROI programs. Contact us for more information on how we can customize our services to best fit your needs.

Insights into HBDI

In our last update we introduced you to our Guide Coaching (TM) Model and our philosophy of being coached, learning coaching, practicing coaching, and being coached again which creates an experiential circle that is high-touch / high-impact. It's proven to be a win/win/win for client, coach and coachee.

Stay tuned for more on this front in 2012 ... including our upcoming book, "Guide Coaching: Inspiring Others to Find Alignment and Engagement at Work," sharing what we have learned about Guide Coaching and the 'hook' that makes our model different from so many others.

Creating an internal culture of coaching continues to be a top priority with our clients, leading to a more engaged and aligned workforce, and our individual and group coaching sessions provide the opportunity to make coaching a broader part of a leaders toolkit!

Our HR OptIn business continues to provide practical, affordable, and actionable solutions for our clients seeking talented HR resources for contract assignments. Our model is simple. We provide educated, experienced and energized talent on a contract or project basis to help with those HR projects that you don't have the time or specialized expertise to handle.

We are proud to remind our clients of our Opting In / Giving Back Program. Every time we place a consultant on assignment, we make a donation in that person's honor to the charity of his or her choice that supports women and/or children globally.
